House Shots
Grasshopper
Heard it flapping its wings.
Around 8cm.
It was found on one of the shrubs.
Picture taken on 11/10/08.
Near a pond
It flew quite fast. It took me a while to take a photo of it.

A golden-backed woodpecker with long and solid black stripes. Both sexes have black eyestripes joined to black rear neck stripe. Male has red, female black crown. I think this picture I took was a male golden-backed woodpecker.
